Capital One to add 100 jobs in Tulsa

5.16.2011
Capital One Auto Finance announced plans last week to expand its Tulsa location and create more than 100 customer service jobs and management positions. The company wants to fill the jobs in three to six months.
Located at 6929 N. Lakewood Ave., in the Cherokee Industrial Park, Capitol One currently employs around 350 people who handle collections calls.

“Capital One selected Tulsa as the location of its new loan servicing facility in 2006, and has since evolved into a major contributor to our economy,” said Mike Neal, the Chamber’s president and CEO. “Capital One is truly an economic development success story for the Chamber’s regional program, Tulsa’s Future. Capital One has sustained its workforce and its employees continue to excel within the company resulting in an expansion of people and services.”

According to the Chamber’s economist, Bob Ball the total economic impact of 100 jobs is $9 million on Tulsa-area economy. The 100 new jobs support the creation of 55 additional jobs throughout the economy.

“The community involvement and generous contributions of its employees within the greater metro region has yet another significant impact making Capital One a committed corporate partner,” Neal said.

John Cook, Capital One site director for Tulsa, said the company chose to expand in Tulsa because of the talented and educated workforce and the location’s excellent performance since 2006.

A career fair is planned for June, and job openings will be posted online at tulsaworld.com/capitalone.
