New Google facility opening in Pryor brings its Oklahoma investment to $2 billion
The Tulsa Regional Chamber joined Governor Mary Fallin, state and community leaders and Google employees Friday to celebrate the company's expansion of its Mayes County facility. This additional commitment will bring Google's total Oklahoma investment to $2 billion and increase its local employment to more than 400 people by 2018.
As part of this investment, Google built a four-story data center to bolster its operations at the MidAmerica Industrial Park in Pryor. Google also announced Friday a $100,000 grant to MidAmerica's Workforce Development division in support of continued growth and development of STEM education in northeast Oklahoma.
